Fall is the most popular time of year for photo sessions and it is easy to see why. The changing colors of the foliage in the northeast is stunning and southeastern Pennsylvania has no shortage of national parks, conserved lands, and truly unique and picturesque locations for your outdoor family or maternity photo session. With the holiday season right around the corner, it is also when many choose to update their family photos for holiday cards or print for gifts.

Almost every location I have used for sessions is beautiful in the fall, but there are a few that stand apart. Read more about my favorite fall locations for outdoor photos family & maternity sessions in the Greater Philadelphia Area:

1. Grande Parade at Valley Forge National Historical Park - King of Prussia, PA

I will never stop talking about how much I love this location. Throughout the autumn season it is continually changing and gorgeous well into late November. From wildflowers in September, to silvery white fields in November, it never disappoints me.

2. Knox's Farm at Valley Forge National Historical Park - King of Prussia, PA

There are a million other amazing spots within Valley Forge National Historical Park, but my second favorite place for sessions is this old farm area!

4. The Mill at Anselma - Chester Springs, PA

This historic mill and property is such a hidden treasure! It's usually pretty quiet compared to some of the other locations and encapsulates the quintessential "fall" feeling. In addition to the mill & accompanying buildings, there are trails and a small pond to explore.

4. Brightside Farm Park - Malvern, PA

This is park is always pretty quiet and calm. There are paved and mowed walking paths throughout the fields of this old farm. While the farm buildings and surrounding areas are not open to the public, they are visible in the distance, making a lovely backdrop.

5. Maple Acres Farm & Market - Plymouth Meeting, PA

The vibrant zinnia fields at this local farm start to bloom through October and into early November. If you'd like something a little different for your fall photos, then this is the place for you!
